Having time to declutter as a writer

It is half term and I have a book that I'm rewriting and editing another, but when I spend time having a clear up it helps to remove things that have become a burden a disruption. Clothes that cause itching, worn and dust everywhere.

I hate it when I have a lot of emails and getting a messages about my Storage being full. So I will spend time clearing and getting rid of the clutter in my inbox, unsubscribing from sites that I never read or going to read and retailers to help reduce impulse shopping and invest in my writing.

I am well known for my bad habits. Having piles of stuff, no home for anything and trying to ignore it.

That never works.

So I will now like to have a tidy and clean dining table where I spend most of my time writing or my desk when I'm at home in Wimbledon and I tidy up my bits once completed my writing for the day and also planning dinners and getting other bits done, like doing the laundry, washing up and reading.

This week as it is half term and my son is at his holiday club had a good declutter. We, my mum and I went through my sons clothes and mine and was ruthless about it and would love to own less and not be bogged down with stuff.

I do hoard and find it hard to say goodbye to stuff but I know I need to do it for my sanity and what is really important to me.

Sentimental items like greeting cards I do like to keep but not all and adding them to my journals, ones that have aa meaningful message and photos I use google photobooks and then delete some of them. I am putting together a Memory Journal and so did order prints and once this is done will clear some of those pictures to make space for new ones. If I want to have more space I need to then let some things go and then I am clear to write and use items in my books, like in my book I am writing called Mum&Me, mum won't stop buying from TV Shopping Channels and online. I like to use my traits to turn into a story and Daughter is a secret a hoarder too and a bit lazy but tries to go through her home full of boxes from where her mother keeps shopping online

Stuff is stuff but I get an inner feeling when decluttering. I get defensive about it and feel a little like "Oh no" yet I know the importance to let go of stuff. So I bite the bullet and do it.

A clear space is a clear mind and gonna take break now from spending money on clothes and invest in my writing, by creating journals of my own and I bought a few more journals as I do use them, but one I have created my own will not being buying from stores to create my own store.

I want to create digital products and physical.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie X
